It is early this year, but this weekend is Easter, or as I like to think of it the stuff your face with chocolate weekend. Mum gave me some delicious chocolate covered marzipan, which may or may not have lasted.
I am looking forward to a few days where I can disengage the brain a little. I am working as I have cats to see, so I can’t switch off completely, but I am hoping that I can relax a little, and perhaps pick up a paint brush. I have been far too tired over the past couple of weekends to think about it.
Bracken is doing ok at the moment. Over the last week or so, she has barely coughed, and she is quite spritely. She has had a few incontinence episodes which isn’t fun with a dog who has furry undergarments, but this is where hard floors and no carpets are ideal. It is good to know that the hideously expensive medication is doing her good. Not that she appreciates the fact I may have to live on toast.
As well as it being Easter, the clocks go forward this weekend which means longer days. We have light until about 6.30 in the evenings and lovely light mornings and from Sunday, the days will be longer still. It has felt like a long, grey winter and longer, lighter days will be most welcome.
